Good-bye to my celica - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #55627 18 posts Started by orvillescelica
Hi everyone. I have been a member here since the very beginning from our split from celica.net. I have had the pleasure to meet many of you during my long tenure here. This community made me love the car even more than i already did. But last week, i traded her in. It was a sad day. I have had her for ten long years. She was my first car when i was 16 and i have driven her 4 time across this country from chicago to new york, to LA, to Seattle, to Atlanta and all the points in between. But it was finally time for me and the car i called 'Red' to part ways. For me to continue me story with another car, and for her to continue to bring joy to a new owner. Below are some of my favorite pictures of my '97 celica GT convertible, followed by my new car.

We'll miss you bud. Its been good having your imput from time. You're a good man and I'll miss you on here.

Have fun with the new car... it looks like it will be a blast... certainly will have more power than our celis. Do some crazy off-road driving for me! Send us some pics sometime when you get cool pics of the new car.

Keep in touch!

Hey, most of us don't mind, or are not extremely bothered, by the relatively low HP rides we have. That makes us kind people lol.

Anyways, I have been with you since the Celica Tech days too, but this site has been WAY better b/c it focuses on 6GCs. I have owned a Celi since March 1999, and have already departed with one. If I ever have to part with the one I have now, I know it will be hard too. Fortunately, situations can change and you just have to get rid of the car. Being you had a 97 Vert, it probably afforded you a small, but decent chunk of $$ towards the Evo. Good luck with the new ride, but be careful!
nice new ride man... at least having the celi for 10 years allowed you to save up for the mitsub evo x!!!!
