I thought id just start this thread to talk about this huge storm that just moved through northern,and kind of southern California,its moving east so all your all gonna get it now smile.gif ,anyway this has got to be one of the worst storms in the last 10 years,at my dads cabin the winds were a round 120mph...there is partial flooding all over Sacramento and now a new storm is coming in now.Anyone badly affected by this storm?

I'm not affected, really... but a friend of mine live in California now, she's having a school-year there... How is the storm? Heavy damages? Is there some sort of local news-paper online that covers this?

lol ya we have a few(the Sacramento bee is one,ya over i think 300,000 ppl without power during the storm,its was/is bad

yes , it is INSANE weather outthere , it has been raining almost non-stop for 2 days now , lots of streets are flooded , freeways are a mess and it is really hard to drive . It is specially hard because my tires arent really good in the rain and they hydroplain alot ! and ofcourse the biggest scariest reason is that Suthern California people dont know how drive in the rain !

lots of places were flooded from what i saw on the news

parts of navada were flooded and then the water froze over night

We got your storm up here, too, with like 10 inches of snow in the cascades and heavy winds w/rain in the valley... lots of downed trees and tree limbs and pretty icy roads this morning even. Of course we're not as affected by the rain as you since we get it all the time, but it hits pretty hard for those around here still recovering from the flooding a few weeks ago.

Storm was pretty bad. Knocked out power on Friday all the way till Sunday night here. Fortunately I wasn't home to freeze my ass off. I was down in Fresno all weekend... and there was no power is most places basically from Sacramento north to parts of Redding.

yea storm was pretty intenset this past weekend... kept me from getting anything done. Kept my celica in the drive way too! way too many rivers to cross, and at my ride hight would need a paddle to get across.

yup... crazy weather. but awesome snow in the mountains.

ya me and my dad left his cabin o get away from snow,and got to sac to rent a hotel and there was no power...
