Ok so i finished changing the cluster light in my celica to blue using 194Blue bulbs but they are too light!!!!!!!

so i'm asking what can i do to make it brighter? I saw some LEDs but they aren't bright enough.

I did the same mob with one of my friends to his celica in RED and it looked awesome. it was bright red, perfect, but blue is too hard. It looks too light. Any suggestion??

i used some LEDS from pep boys... they look amazing... the bulbs will always look more of a white color... you need LED's to get the royal blue color... they make really big LED's that barely fit in the holes... they look amazing... i'll be pulling my cluster apart soon and moving them to my other celi and turning these ones red... i'll be sure to get some pics

or buy some off of culp

Breaking Axles...
Get LEDs if you don't have those in now and color the bulbs with a blue sharpie. I know, it sounds ghetto, but you will be amazed by the results. It's awesome. And if you don't find it awesome (and aren't fully satisfied smile.gif ), the ink is easily removed with rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab.

That's the same thing as what I got and they are plenty bright. I even have them dimmed down slightly!

those are the same bulbs that culp is selling.

i always use 5 way refractors size 194 form velocity led's an ebay store, never had a problem and likewise i ahve to dimm mine slighty
i loved my leds
it's just too bad they burnt out on me. not sure why either. now i have some polarg super whites. soon i am going to get some new indiglo gauge faces so it will look similar but with a white background in the daytime.

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
took a year and a half for one to burn out on me, and they spread so good i could barely tell, i jsut ordered another one, pretty again and problem fixed lol
hmm, yeah i might just go out and get bright LEDs, because these blue 194 are way too light to use. so a note to all, 194B (blue 194 bulbs) are not dark blue, they are light blue.

on a side note, it you get 194R red bulbs, they rock. they look pretty nice, dark red. if i could I'll post my guy's cluster.

I think I'm going to try some of these next:

I've had the 5 LED refractors and they work great but one of them is going out.

I have them, I just put them in 2 days ago. They are wicked bright, too bright IMO and they are not as blue as my other LEDs. They are a little aqua blue rather than a true blue. I hav eto say again they are the brightest LEDs I have ever had.

i have some of those in my cluster now in hid white. i like them, besthongkong has brighter led's for like $7 i think.

what usually causes led's to burn out with this application is inadequent current. like the dimmer knob... so if its not giving them the full current they are designed for its going to eventually burn them out.

note... can also mount these in your highbeam housing to give it a dimmer and nicer mercedez effect. gets you some compliments with the luxury look thumbsup.gif

Can you take a picture for me? I wouldn't mind mine being a little brighter/lighter if the light is evenly spread out.
