If you ask me.. Ilokanos should have a different passport from all Filipinos... there's just too many of you guys that you can create your own country.

Ilokanos are annoying as hell also coz they're all hardheaded and they talk too loud, seems like they're deaf or something

Take it like a man, its only a 12-14 Hour flight from Detroit to Nagoya, and 2-3 Hour from Nagoya to Manila. I watched every cheesy movie they played. I have done this travel 4 times. No DS/PSP or any handheld gaming device. I rocked my CD player with about 30 CDs to choose from and a dozen Lithium batteries.

BTW my Family on both sides have been in Cavite for many generations.

Ok, i'm gonna post. I'm flip and i'm somewhat proud of it. Some advice though especially over here where i'm at, don't ever speak some kind of filipino language in public places such as the mall, wal-mart, or wherever there may be alot of people at. All I know is that the locals, as in born and raised here, get all irritated because the ones that speaking flip can also speak or should be able to speak more english since their in the U.S. If you don't, chances are the locals will mouth you off and call you dumb filipino or "bok bok" or even FOB. So yeah, just keep it to yourself or at home. Lol, unfortunely, I can't even speak any of it. I can only understand a bit, that's it. So those who can, I give you guys props for that matter.

Who had the traditional Filipino Christmas? We partied with 50+ people from 4PM on the 24th till 8PM on the 25th. People left from 2AM and came back around 3PM Christmas. Tons of food, kids running around participating in chessy games they won moola in, Aunts and Uncles tearing it up with the Karaoke, Drunk uncles.. well Alcoholic uncles that never get drunk playing tong its. And some aunties playing bingo. How was your Christmas? Oh Yea, our Santa Claus was brown, just like every year! HAHAHA

props to all FIL-AMS/FIL-CANS/FIL-Wherever you were born that can speak and understand the native language... Its easy to learn a foreign language but keeping the native language in the family is hard. One more thing I hate is when flips that grew up back home and come to Canada or the US and they only stayed here for only half a year and they claim that they can't speak the language anymore, how ridiculous can you be? Flips that were born in the US/CAN try to learn it, so why would you forget it?

Each of my family members can speak or at least understand the language. Even the kids born here can understand it.

Anyones parents make home made bagoong? Holy CRAP! it stinks, horribly! My dad cooks at around 2am to prevent neighbors from killing us.. but those who are awake and had their window/door open will be pissed

im full filipino. born and raised in maryland though. parents born in the philippines. my sisters and i dont speak or understand the language.

i cant relate to any of your guys' issues about "favors."
i was never around a lot of filipinos until college. i do noticed that they are clicky in college.

we have a lot of family here but not a lot of friends we call family. my filipino friends do have a lot of friends they call family and do things with them all the time. thats my story =)~
