What do you guys think of the racing crank pulleys for the celica - 6G Celicas Forums
crank pullys are generally frowned upon because they screw up the harmonics of the motor and results in internal motor damage to the crank/bearings.

Which in itself is mostly a myth. The 5SFE and 7AFE don't have harmonic balancers per-say... like an extra balancing weight attached to the crank pulley. The pulley itself is balanced and held together with rubber glue which acts as vibration absorption, but for the most part, don't have or need extra balancing. Underdrive crank pullies, IMO, are fine mods to do to toyota 4 bangers but the same cannot be said for all motors. I personally ran an underdrive pulley for over 100K miles and the engine never showed any extra wear related to it.
