I just noticed this thread.... do you guys already have the days planned out? I don't think i'd be able to go and spend the night... so if I can work it out to come in morning, spend some time with you all, then leave in evening..

Dates are in the itenerary on the first page with "plans". I believe this is happening the weekend of June 27th, i'm too lazy to look though lol

The rough draft is close to what the meet will be. Maybe a few pencil changes here and there, but thats pretty much what you should expect.

The Meet will occur at Mount Trashmore, in the Lynnhaven area. The Hotel which is RedRoof Inn will be located on Virginia Beach BLVD. I tried to have the locations close together, so everything is around 15 min apart.

Sorry, many things getting piled up on me and more will be pilled up in the upcomming months. Im suppose to be the Local helping the meet, but if I can't get myself straight, how can I with the meet. Jennifer has almost 99.9% of everything set, ill give her a call whenever I secure the Park and such. I won't be on here as much as I would like to. Hopefully i become settled by May. Good Luck with gathering people and with the Meet.

I hope this is still a go, but reading through this whole thead, I am not convinced that anyone has actually made a supposed discounted hotel reservation with the Red Roof Inn. We supposedly need at least 20 people, and I don't think people are willing be 4 to a room with two Queen beds lol, just to pay $27 per night! Also, this itinerary link does not even work! This whole thing seems very disorganized at this point.

Jen and jdg, please let me know what I can do to help. I am a local to the area! This area gets pretty dang busy during the summer obviously b/c Virginia Beach is somewhat of a resort town. And we need to seriously get the hotel thing straight first if we plan to put up a big group into one hotel and get a group rate.

Jen or jdg, please PM me.

i think we should have a 6gc campout

rent out a campground or something, park our cars in a big circle, have a bond fire, and crash out in tents.

i think that would be some fun stuff =)

but hotels are always nice. just need to start to book them like now because of the summer rush. not lookin to drop 200 a night.
you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!(2:27:32 AM) edit: please f*cking work, f*ck, sh*t, piss(2:28:08 AM) edit: that did the trick

I'm down either way..... parkin in a circle sounds cool with a bon fire but hotels are good with me too..... by the time of this meet i'll be relocated back to Chattanooga, TN but still planning on coming

An update will be available in a few days. Just bear with it guys. We still want this meet to be a success!

I have a copy of the itenirary[sp] I just need someone to host it or I will probably find something to host it myself.

how do i get in on this. i am a fifth gen owner (93 gt-s) but i would love to come down and hang out im in pa (right out side of philly near lagos aka art). if possible count me and my buddy in. i can make it as long as im not in the process of swappin smile.gif

also... i dont think we really need an itinerary, if something fun is around and the mass thinks it would be fun to do - go do it. plans are made to be broken and fail - its the flying by the seat of your pants that makes for a good time!

but - plan a hotel where a group of us could stay, and also if wanted if theres enough interest a local campground (or hotel parking lot) where we could have a campout deal - make the 6gc logo shape outta smores mmmmmm

Since I am local, I will start calling around and trying to get a group rate and possible some rooms blocked out for us. How many rooms? At least 20? Each with at least 2 singles or 1 queen beds? Sorry, I am new to reserving a bunch of hotel rooms. It seems we will have at least 20 people.

As for a car meet place, I am going to talk to Jasper (jdg371) about that. I will call him soon.
