camshafts - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #54300 3 posts Started by JasonX
is there anything wrong with using camshafts from a 5th gen to re-grind by coltcams to use on a 6th gen. (both engines 5sfe). Would there be any problems?

Thank you
probably not

yes and no.

the 90-91 5th gens (GTs) have different (smaller lobes, less agressive) camshafts than the 92-99 GTs. I would suggest you use the same size cams as the ones in your car. Use any from a 92-99 GT and you should have no problems with a regrind.
