Finally decided to upgrade my 2.25" TRD exhaust for a custom made 2.5" exhaust and new tip (maybe even a twin exhaust setup ). Only problem is, I can't find any extractors that'll fit my 3S-GE (no one seems to sell them ). Have seen some for a 3/5 S-FE engine though, would they fit??? Also found some cheap second hand JASMA extractors, however they came out of a 3SGE MR2. So my main question is: Would the MR2 extractors fit my Celica??

Well I found some 2nd hand JASMA extractors for my Celica. In very good condition for only $80. Talked my olds into buying me them 4 christmas lol. Anyways... Almost got enough money for a new exhaust setup but was just wondering whether its worth going to 2.5" or staying at 2.25"??

stay with the exhaust you have, the extra 1/4 inch wont make a lick of difference and may actually loose you power.

Thanks for that. I was thinking the same way just wanted too get another opinion. Ohwell looks like I'll just get my extractors chucked on and get a better big bore.

Another question: Has anyone had a twin bigbore exhaust?? Found one that is 2 x 3" Outlet 4.5" Mid Diameter. Would it be louder than my single 4.0" Outlet 5.5" Mid diameter?? Same brand, same materials, just different setup. Don't really want my exhaust any louder, these twin ones will look awesome though.

I had the twin exhaust on a Y pipe on my last Celica and maybe it was just the buttdyno but it actually seemed like I was going slower than when I took the same exhaust, cut it in half and just used one in a traditional setup. I'm sure it would depend on the specific exhaust you were thinking about but IDK. Just what it felt like to me.
IMO - keep the TRD exhaust - at least it gives you bragging rights.

Its just TRD piping now took the muffler off ages ago. Was too quiet for me. Muffler that I got on now probaly has better flow, gained some HP after installing it. What about noise level on that twin setup?? Do you know how loud it was?? Compared to just having the single.

Just barely quieter - the big diff was it was lower toned. Sounded pretty god to me, better than a single but I'm serious - the Y felt restrictive.
I'm gonna go to Ebay and see if I can find the one I had so you can see.

I have a magnaflow muffler on mine with 2.5 inch exhaust. Its a 3 inch inlet with dual 4 inch outlet. It sounds really nice.

Cheers for that. Just don't want my exhaust getting any louder. The one I'm looking at is similar too that but the tips are different. Half the price of that one though but thats cause I'm mates with a performance parts importer .

no offense but this seems kinda of counter productive...TRD did the R&D for the TRD muffler and setup...you should keep with what they have and not just mix and match parts unless you are gonna get a custom system for the headers back.

It wouldn't matter since its just exhaust pipping. Theres no original components on the exhaust anymore. And it follows the same path as a non TRD 6gen exhaust.
