how many miles on the clutch?

does it always continue to squeak when the clutch is being pushed in, if so then its ur clutch fork, and the only way to make that stop is dropping the trans
cars done 60,000km (as far as I know it hasn't been changed)

if its the clutch fork, what would have done that?

time, the grease does not last forever.... the eaisest way is to drop tranny, buy a clutch kit since you dont want to do that again, and grease everything you need to grease.. make sure its not something else before you end up doing something unnecessary.

Try putting some mouse bait near the tranny. you can maybe catch that rodent...

I've found where its coming from, the clutch ball joint(?) where it joins up with the fork

Apply some force on it with the engine turning, if the sound stops, or you start to hear it, then it might the pressurebearing.

do this. you can take off the slave clutch thing off. then if you have a dremel tool, whack the rust off the piston and the fork. Then apply high temp grease there. dont spray anyting since it only last for a while and might get inside the tranny. this is what i did when i changed my clutch. It does not squeak. it will last longer...

Both my Toyotas do this, if you pull that boot off you can see inside with a mirror and lube the part in question. It's kind of difficult and I've pretty much given up on keeping it lubed myself.
