I'm installing a boost gauge in my car. I just need to know which wire to splice into for my light. I hear the dimmer switch is a good place for this. I'm looking at 3 wires coming from it....2 white wires, one with a red stripe, the other green stripe. The third wire is solid green. Any suggestions on which one to use? I'm guessing one of them is a ground that I could splice into also. Thanks for your help.

green lights are acc if you splice to that the light will turn on only when acc's are on u can do it to a direct current

Not 100% sure what you mean by this? Are you talking about the green wire? Sorry if this is a stupid question and I should understand what your talking about My wiring knowledge is very limtied. I'm a little overwhelmed by all the wiring going on behind the dash
