Where Has Coomer Been? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #53520 18 posts Started by Coomer
Many of you have probably noticed that I haven't been around in a while. A few have contacted me and I've been horrible about forgetting and getting back to people and stuff, and I feel bad.

I have just been incredibly busy. I got a new job and moved to Seattle, WA a little over a month ago. I work very hard as a web developer for Snapvine. When I'm not working at work, I'm busy running around getting stuff done or hanging out with my girlfriend. And I just recently got my internet access working at my new studio loft apartment.

Life has been excellent, but insanely busy. And I haven't had internet access at home, hence my hiatus from 6GC. But now I've got internet access, I'm getting adjusted to work and living in Seattle, and I'm on a mission to get back into the community and continue the never-ending development of 6GC. smile.gif

Oh, and as far as cars go, I no longer have one. Two days of driving in south Seattle (picture railroad tracks that stick up 4" out of the ground) killed my Del Sol's suspension and header. A day later my Del Sol's motor blew up. So I got tabs for my old '88 Celica, put the interior back together, and drove the neglected, beaten-up (by my bro) Celica for a bit. Then that got broken into and they messed up the car so that it no longer starts. It's parked by the space needle if anyone wants to finish it off.

So yeah, I walk everywhere (work is only half an hour away) and only get to see my girlfriend, family, and friends when they come up to see me. But I love my girlfriend and she comes and sees me a lot, and I love my new job. Friends and family come up and see me periodically. And Seattle is really cool. Especially since I live downtown.

That's what I've been up to. And now I'll be around more to help out and contribute and continue developing. smile.gif

IT seems you're doing well despite bad luck and bad people, happy to hear it.

I think most people could say we're taking care of 6gc.net properly lol

That's why there's so many damn SUVs here in the PNW - if it's not RR tracks it's "Unmaintained Roadway"s - i.e. gravel-ish roads that aren't maintained by the cities (at least they're here in Portland!). It's amazing that there are still streets that aren't paved!

I say get a small hybrid SUV type of thing, or at least SOMETHING with ground clearance!
It is good to hear things are working out aside from the car woes.
I can hook you up with a corolla gts(i have a spare) for 0 down and flexable
payments. wink.gif Glad you are back. smile.gif

JDM guy made me do it.

screw the states man... i'll stick with japan, the only time cars get broken into here on okinawa is when kids see candy. they leave money but take my american candy. those little goobers... glad to see you back and hear that you're doing well.
