They look great but I wonder if for that money you can just get your seats reupholstered locally? I kinda doubt those are really located in Houston, especially for $75 shipping alone!

You should look into getting neoprene Wet Okole seat covers. They have it for both front and rear seats. Also, looks and fitment is awesome. Fronts cost about $235 and rears about the same so you'll probably pay about $500-$535 shipped for both ($535 is my overall total for the celica front and rear seat covers shipped). You can also do it yourself. I bought a rear seat cover for my 01' Pathfinder and it looks great and the quality is first class so you should look into getting a set. I can't wait to get mines, but i'll have to wait till tax return to buy them.

I'm wondering the same thing. I was searching the site today and someone here said that he called all over and the local reupholstering ranged from 450-500. So if you get those seats for 500 + 75 shipping you put them on, you're still going to have to get them steamed press.

those look pretty cool. but i'm not really looking for seat covers. i wanna reupholster my interior with leather (or something like it). my friend paid almost a thousand to get his interior reupholstered so i'm just looking for something cheaper. i figured i could buy those from ebay and just follow the how-to that's in here somewhere and save a couple hundred bucks by doing the labor myself. anyone know about how much i should expect to pay if i just went to a shop?

You'll easily spend 1k+ to have a upholster shop do it from scratch. If you're a handy guy you can get these and do it yourself.

PS: Those seat covers are horrible. Do it once, do it right.

Without calling around, and just looking on craigslist in the auto forum, I saw some mentions of $300 for reupholstering the front seats only. That sounds kinda cheap to me, so no promises on that. If it were me though, I'd totally call around and see what it would run to have the front seats reupholstered. There are tons of places that specialize in auto upholstery.

The benefit of course to the custom seat covers is that you can remove them to clean them. Also, it might cost more to have the seats upholstered with the same materials available for the seat covers. If I had $500 do drop on my seats, I'd shop around and see how I can get the most for my buck.

Then again, those bucks don't come so easy these days...

That is dirt cheap for new leather seat skins. I assume that they must not be a full leather skin replacement and probably are made of vinyl. I am having my 85 Supra's leather seates reupolstered and am getting leatherseats.com to make the new skins for me. A full leather with no vinyl skins will run you on average $1,200 on up.
