BANNED. for life, you moron.
sounds like a great sub...
heard a lot of good things about polk though

butttttttt im not a fan, id rather have a alpine type x for a jl w6 or w7

MTX Cheaper and same quality. Polks are very nice though but are pricy. I used to work at Futureshop. I would only go with MTX, Image Dynamics, Infinity (higher quality not entry level). JL or POLK... no others.

MTX IMO is the best for the price though
they look nice... ive also heard great things about polk... whatever sub you get, just match it with the correct power and youll be good smile.gif I like that box and sub combo tho
I like Polk. smile.gif

Two 12in. Polk MM2124 series running off the Polk C300.2 amp. Sounds nice and crisp. Exactly what I needed. Box was custom built to fit snug in the trunk. I have Polk db6750 components (front) and Polk db650 coaxial running off of the Polk C400.4 amp.

sounds loud^^^wat do u think of the wiring of polk?

i was lookin at the pic of that kenwood amp and the specs and your gonna run into some probs if you buy it because your going to be trying to run two subs off a mono channel amp.
There are no problems with running 2 subs off of one mono amp. My friend has been running his for over 3 years now, problem free.

what i meant was you wont get as much power to both subs, i would prefer buying a 2 channel amp but thats just me
ya i thought of that, but thats around 600rms per sub isnt it??

if you wire them correctly you will actually get more power out of an monoblock amp for 2 subs.
the amp see's the 2 dual voice coil subs as a 1 ohm impeadence instead of an 2 ohm impeadence, so you get more power out of the amp

wat do u mean wire right, just buy high gauge wire?that wiring diagram is correct right?

ok well i realized that these subs are 750rms TOGETHER so thats only 325 a peice....so i need to downgrade my amp.check orginal post

my friend just got two 1200 w 12's from kenwood and a proaudo 2200 w for 350 install free XD

If you wire 2 2ohm subs in parallel you will get a 1ohm impedence. Not alot of amps are stable at that but put out lots of power. That Kicker amp would be pushing over 1000watts rms but not for long. The other alternative is to wire them in series which will give you a 4ohm load which will mean you need a more powerful amp. your best bet is to find a pair of 4 ohm subs and wire them in parallel or a pair of dual voice coil 2ohm subs. both ways you can run it at 2ohms giving you more power and reliability. Hope this helps
u got a pm..im pretty sure they are 1ohm a piece...

They're 2 ohm SVC (single voice coil)

Basically if you wire them in series, like in the pic that you posted, you double the impedence that they are rated at, 2ohm up to 4ohm. Reliable and efficient but you don't get many watts. If you wire them in parallel you halve the impedence, 2ohm down to 1ohm. Lots of watts but inefficient and prone to overheating. Some amps are 1ohm stable but its still inefficient.

Youre best bet in my opinion is to get two 4ohm subs and wire them parallel to get it down to a 2ohm load. Plenty of watts, efficient and reliable.

Stick with SVC if you had trouble with that. DVC is a bit more complex.

So basically series = double ohm load
parallel = half ohm load.
i know the Fosgate P1000-1BD for a fact is 1 ohm stable
and at 1ohm has a rms os 1300 watts
so you could look into that amp

2015 Subaru WRX. World Rally Blue/Black2001 Honda S2000. Spa Yellow/Black
ya BUT on teh specs the read 750 rms TOGETHER,and then 2ohms so im pretty sure there only 1ohm,ill ask crutchfield to see wat thay say.

EDIT:from crutchfield rep:
Greg.
The Polk has one set of speaker inputs which is 2 ohms. It is wired internally for a total 2 ohm impedance

so im going to go ahead and buy these soon and put them in,and if the amp blows i will return it and get a dif one.ANd if they say it wasnt there fault i will bring out the convos of them saying it was alright

Fair enough. That sounds like a good plan. I'd still say they're 4ohm a piece wired parallel internally. Let us know how they go and ask if you've got any more questions.
ok yes i have read over 50 reviews for this sub and there all mostly 5 outta 5,idk bout the amp, anyone have this amp?

off topic but I think is funny how you're all over these polk subs and you have kicker subs on your signature.

those are great subs.

depending on how much noise you're looking to make you may wanna check these subs.

kicker

they are refurbished, but comes with 90 days warranty so you can blast them out to test them. I ordered those and have them on my hands, fast shipping and they look great. will install them in the next 2 weeks

are u kidding me,200 watts peak power,im looking for somthing with more BAM,they are nice subs though, and yea i need to change it...
