I've read conflicting posts about this mod.

Some people say you only need this part....

7th gen celica manual antenna tube (pole sub-assembly): P/n: 86309-20300

But others have said you also need this one....

6th gen celica manual antenna ornament: P/n: 86392-20180


Who is right?

you can use both.... the 7th works for sure... 6th gen will also work, just will look a little different... the 7th gen will be straight, the 6th gen wont be it will be on a little slant

If you get a 7th gen base it will be so much easier. no cutting or glueing; just replace the mount and screw on the antenna. use loc-tite if you have it so the antenna doesnt get stolen.

Well I got it all installed and bought the antenna from the Honda dealership and the freaking thing doesn't fit!

The male part is too small for the hole.

Now what?

Just to wrap this thread up.....2 years later

I had to shave some of the rubber off the bottom of the antenna so that the male piece would reach the female. Then I used locktite.

Has worked and looked great ever since.
