i dunno y this beef about rice and ****~~~ u guys should read option magazine and watch jap driftin videos~~ u'll b amazed by the werk they do wif lite conversions. example~~~ rx-7 fd-3s wif z32 front conversion. about ricin~~~ i think the only thing dat'd make u ricey is if ur car sounds like a motorcycle and has absolutely no go. and u hab stupid stickers dat are not from ur sponsors. errthin else is about personal taste and wut u think is hot.

First lights were lame (probably just a bad photoshop pic) the second two were ok, would need some more shots, different coloured cars etc.
This is my opinion...
People used to be able to express and accept someones opinion well on here, pretty much regardless, this is why i joined up- it was refreshing in a forum like this.
Recently in some posts people are getting very personal and basically trying to enforce their tastes.
Were a good bunch, dont lets end up like all the other sites...

I didn't mean to offend anyone here, so calm down. I think that the tailight issue is ricey...some think carbon fiber hoods are rice (although I don't know why). It's just a matter of opinion.

I like it..it's different....its another option for designing our cars...other than sticking and beating each other up for JDM ones..lol

I like the second ones quite a bit.....only thing is that if they ever got produced, they would probably need to be painted to match the car, and custom molding would be expensive for a set of tails if they werent. I say JDM tails for price and looks. >>

its all personal opinion, my personal opinion is theyre ugly and a waste of money. if you want to support the 6gc scene, we really need to get someone to make some headers or engine internals or brake kits or sway bars or control arms or throttle body or something that actually makes a difference in the car. This car has a hell of a lot of ability, with no one making any worthwhile parts. new taillights just arent doin it.

I am not closing this topic because, even though i disagree with the product, it has a right to be advertised on the site just like any other product. to all who are making all these "rice" comments, there is no formal definition of rice. so dont think you know it, your idea of rice is different than mine and thats different from the next persons. and not one is more right then the other. so knock it off cuz you wont get anywhere. if you dont like them, just say that. if you have an idea to improve on them, let the guy know. if you like em, make sure he lets us all know when they go into production. knock off all the extra crap about whos car is rice and whos isnt.

The whole point of having a celi club about modding and improving your cars, is to do exactly that, to make your celica unique to everyone else's by making it look better, drive faster, handle better, etc.. if your just going to leave your car standard then dont bother joining a club and be like millions of others who just drive their normal motors day to day blending in with everyone else.
otherwise join a club, mod your car and support other people (like myself) who are trying to get companys to make more unique mods for our gen6 dont just say urrgh dont like that spoiler etc ... "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder" so if you think it looks good then go for it dont be a sheep like everyone else.... bah.. bahh..
personally i think my gen6 looks really good with a smooth clean look which is higly modded but does not look to over the top or tacky, cause i want a unique car i have done this and am proud of it.
so go on be different ...

BTW rice.... ehhhh... most people eat it - speak english please.

just to let everyone know i have recieved an e-mail today from QC telling me that they are definetley gonna be putting them into production and they should be available whithin the next month or so B)
so if anyone is interested in getting hold of some or organising a group buy for your club please let me know .. :thumb:

Go on folks if you wanna be a bit different from everyone else and make your celi more unique and actually want to modify it rather that being a sheep and leaving everything standard like everyone else, let me know

which ones of the three are they making, how much money we talking and exactly who are makng them?

which ones am not sure yet , how much- about £200 and the company Quad Conversions(check their website)

You're all moaning that no-one produces after-market products for the G6, but when some-one does you still moan????
You all want JDM rear clusters? Come to England - we can get them all too easily!
This is why us G6 owners in good ol' England want something different. I, personally do not want to change my JDM's ( I had UK spec before) but have not slagged this initiative off. How do you expect other companies to produce the goods if you're going to slag them off???? IMHO the new clusters are 100% better than using office lighting material - no-one in England would consider such a conversion............

Personally I think there ugly...
But from reading their forum it looks that some celica owners are interested in them. When a company wants to make parts for the 6gc. Thats cool with me. I just won't buy them. >>

I agree with ray, I just like the second set, but if you like the first or third, thats fine.

Sorry, but you may have plenty of replies... but the 2nd car with the red out tails and the circles around them. I like it, but it isn't celica, Its like trying to make a celica something its not. So like alot of people your options suck. But that would be the best choice in my opinion if you where going for it.
