My 97 ST stock are 205/55/15

My friend doesnt want his aftermarket adr rims anymore, so I am wondering if they will fit?

215/45/17 or should I get new tires? any rubbing with these tires? my suspension is stock btw...The tires got alot of thread left....also do 225/45/17 fit? i have a set of those tires from a SRT4
Thats probably the ideal tire size. I have that size on mine, which is lowered. You won't have any issues with rubbing unless the offset is wrong. As long as the offset is within ~+42 - +35 you'll be good.

presure2 has 225/45/17 tires and it make the car have no fender to tire gap and still the sideskirts looks to be high enough to clear a few speed bumps...

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island

that has nothing to do with the wheel gap. Thats all suspension. You're going to have the same wheel gap that you had before, just with bigger wheels and tires. This is why cars look like 4X4's when you throw 17" + wheels on a car with stock suspension.

how do you find the offset of a rim?
It should be labeled somewhere on the rim. My old Rays had a sticker on the inside that said 17X7JJ (wheel size) +42 (offset)

If they have a cap that goes over the lug nuts it might be behind that.

What kind of wheels?

i lowered my car with eibach sportline drop springs and i have 215/40R17, but i think if it's drop or not it would diffidently fit. because at first i had 215/45R17 i just wanted a smaller profile tire thats why i went with 215/40R17. i think i am gonna go with 215's in the front and 235's in the rear to fit nice. but as far as your guestions it gonna fit with no probably
I think they are a 51 offset? would that still be usable?
