Celica Performance - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #5262 20 posts Started by Komlofske
Is it just me or does anyone find it hard to find someone to help out the the old Celica GT. All the people I know that know anything about cars are ones with hondas. Anything that they might have to say has nothing to do with my car. This goes for all catagories. It's amazing how all these people who have never owned a Celica seem to know all about the car that I own and never fail to inform me of how much of a piece-of-**** it is. Give me some feedback people. I need someone to back me up.
swap in a 3sgte, school their as**s and see what they say then.

I can almost school them now. If it wasn't for there turbos it wouldn't be a problem.
we have something real special with our 6gc's they can be turned into Honda killers with a 3sgte or 4agze engine swap. let them talk that the Suger Honey Iced Tea.. that they want. swap in an engine and then they'll be saying you have ugly tail lights.

If you want something to impress them, just make sure they realize that your car is much nicer stock and has tons more potential to kick all their a**es with the swap (more power than any of their JDM swaps >wink.gif> ) or even turbo. Besides, the celica is a better car anyway and we have a much more united and close-knit community than just about any other car out there. >biggrin.gif>

No, they are not factory turbos. They all built there turbos from scratch. They made custum manifolds using Eclipse turbos
Slash their tires on race-night. >wink.gif>

They are mostly hatchbacks, and a couple of SEs and yea sure they know what they are doing on there cars but every one of them have a differant opinion of my car wich brings me to thinking they don't know **** about mine. I can't tell who's trying to help or who isn't.
i used to get schooled by integra gsr's and sir's, i swapped in a 3rd gen engine and who's the b*tch now. even type r's are fair game.
By the way, 1900....nice car! >smile.gif> That thing looks really sharp.

thanks! i will be posting new pics soon
Yeah! I can't wait to see those.
just remember this trueism,,, Speed costs Money, how fast can You afford to go?

This has been a true statement as long as I can remember, (and as far as I know, someone else always has more money.)

I think it was criminal Toyota didn't bring the 3s-gte 6th gen Celica into this country. thus forcing us to spend so much extra to get the performance other countries got in stock trim on certain models. That decision alone is probably why we see so many modified Hondas instead of Toyotas.
As far as help with our cars, they already have a lot more going for them than a stock Honda, Civics and Accords are merely Coupe versions of 4-door econoboxes and mid-size sedans. The Prelude was meant to compete with the Celica as they both are 2-door sport coupes and have no 4-door version. and everywhere but here, it was pretty stiff competition. Back to the point, Celicas can be improved, it just takes money and effort and time, not every corner store has the parts on display, but they are out there, keep looking.
And if you really want to shine them on, sing that "rice burner" song to them. >owned.gif> >biggrin.gif>
