Ah.. so THAT's what the ebay shiftboot looks like installed. I almost got one but decided to buy one from vincent_doggy instead.

Good luck on your project. That lip is badass.

i like my shift boot thank you very much laugh.gif it was cheap and it's real leather. i think it looks really good with the shift ball. now if i got the other trd shift knob i would have definitely gotten one from doggy.

next up is paint for the lip, splitters, front bumper, and spoiler molded to risers

suspension first. turbo next.

what's the point in having a fast car if it handles like crap?

lolz you joined the club..........lolz
imma go suspension all the way and only beef up the 5sfe a little.
sway bars bushings
shocks and springs plus new mounts and stuff.

then when i get $$$ i'll switch to full coilover set.

I don't normally drive fast, but when I do its on a curvy section of this island
now that i have decided to do my suspension next where can i order some performance sway bars, a decent front strut bar, and kyb gr-2s for a good price? i found out you can buy s-techs from procarparts for a decent price so i think i will get them there when i order my white face reverse glow guages.

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
try tirerack.com i seen some kyb's there and will use tirerack.com to get my brakes and suspension. i dont think they got sway bars though frown.gif

just a quick update i got injen SRI installed. pics as soon as i get the radiator cooling plate from vincent doggy.

ok probably sooner but still laugh.gif

Dude, give us updated pics! A few other things...

Did you go from a three-post spoiler to a two-post? Wow, I think the two-post looks much better!

Yeah, you need to drop that puppy first before any sway bars, new struts, etc. Installing the Teins yourself is very doable as long as you use the how to from Mynzeyes and the search function if you are not sure about something. Will save you $200+. Feel free to ask me questions too. It can be done without a spring compressor...you just have to point away from your body!

Nice choice on the GT-S Rims! I think they look better on our cars than the 7th Gen, but prolly b/c our cars look better anyway. smile.gif

i would have posted pics last night but i didn't get it on until like 8:30 and i was cold and it was dark. i'll probably take a quick pic tomorrow of my dirty engine bay. next is either a front strut bar or teins and kybs. i'm def doing it myself if i can. not worth paying someone else a ridiculous amount of money for what i can do for free. i just can't afford the springs quite yet. and yes that is a 2 post conversion and i agree with you completely biggrin.gif

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
ok fine i'll post a pic for ya

i need to get a bracket so i can install the heat shield.
my bay needs some work big time. next is a decent strut bar, headers, and valve cover paint job. and a good cleaning.

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
is that an alpine head unit you are putting by chance? (nice choice thumbsup.gif if it is) what kind of front lip is that?

no it's not alpine sadly. it's a pioneer so it's still decent. the lip is a JDM Tom's option lip. very hard to come by. i got lucky when i got mine. it's not a replica either.

the heat shield will block out a lot of the hot air so i will get cooler air into the motor. atleast that is the theory behind it. it's not necessary but it is nice to have.

nice!
goferris are you planning on painting you car?
i wish i could afford to paint the whole car. for now i'm just going to paint the parts that need it the most. front bumper, lip, rear splitters, blocks and spoiler. that way they just wont be taking up space in my room and will actually start getting used.

Call me a traitor! See if I care. ;)
thouse keys wont work. Older toyota keys are skinnier then ours. But that old keychain is gangsta.
weird double post.
