question about hoods and gap - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #52226 9 posts Started by torhne
well, i have the Invader front bumper being installed on my car right now, and i was either gonna get the zyclone hood, or the gt4, although the gt4 is growing on me every day. So i was wondering how much of a gap there is between the bumper and the hood when doing this? and maybe pics of this gap, so i could judge for myself whether or not its worth it
I thought it was like 1.5 to 2 inches. I think 2 inches is a bit on the high side of that guess. I would just get the zyclone version and call it a day.

Found it:

man thats an old picture of my car. doesnt look too bad, but it looks so much better with the gtfour bumper

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
man i wish the zyclone had that little tube deally to the left of the big vent in the middle. i dont even know why its there but it looks damn good biggrin.gif

I think it's to cool under the intercooler iirc. Becuase there should be a rubber boot that it connects with when the hood is closed.

wish there was some way to put that into a CF zyclone hood, would probably take a ton of work though, and degrade the CF itself kindasad.gif although that gap kind of reminds me of... a ford focus maybe? i know there is a car that has a gap like that
muhahaha just mold in the all-trac scoop on your hood!

unless i can do some custom work to the bumper to get it t o line up. sounds like a lot of trouble though
