I was wondering if anyone knew whether there was a difference in the installation difficulty for say the MR2 edition(rear wheel drive/used to be rear engine) vs the GT-Four(Celica or Caldina). I am not very "up on the mechanics" and was wondering if there was a difference with the GT-Four being AWD, if that would be a problem or more of a problem compared to the MR2 engine. Btw, I have a craptackular stock 7AFE

There is a difference in the engine. The 3S that came in the MR2 is considered "2nd Gen" 3S-GTE. This is the same as the ST-185. The ST-205 has the "3rd Gen" 3S-GTE, and the Caldina has the "4th Gen". Horsepower is different on all of them. I believe the 4th gen is rated at 265, 2nd gen is rated at 235 (I think)

The other difference is the Transmission. I believe you can modify all of them to work, but a good transmission to look into is the V6 Solara 5-sp transmission.
