my answer: i dont drive a clit like a scoob..every c(*()ts got one in the UK...i love the exclusivity of my GT-four..yeah theres a few about in my area, but i dont sit at some lights and see between 3 to 6 go past...all driven by spotty 25yr old chavs who think they are a pimp cos they have a scooby....

Subarus are called Scoobys. A Scooby wagon is most likely a WRX, because no one wants to rock the Legacy.

Scoobs (Imprezas anyway) are chav wagons, no question about it. There are some really nice examples out there but the general trend is they are driven by spotty little wankers in baseball caps who talk more sheite than a cows arsehole

A "Chav" or "Charva" as we say up here in Newcastle is a whole new sub-class that has emerged in the UK in recent years. They usually hang around street corners or shops wearing their scruffy shell suits which they haven't washed in like 2 years! and baseball caps perched on the back of their heads. Always seen in gangs, hurling abuse and generally taking the p#ss out of anyone who passes by. Most of them don't work, instead choosing to live off the fine welfare state we have in place in the UK, which pays for everything they need, including Subaru Impreza's!

Dont know hows it in UK - but here STi's are rare as hell ( im not talking about WRX - cuz Rex isnt a car at all...)

And i might start a fire here - but i would Chose STi TypeR-RA over a GT4 anyday / time / year / minute / second...

And yes - i know what im talking bout - i have 2 GT4 that i'v been driving recently, and about 9 STi's of different years / modifications...

STi Wagon is another story - but STi Type R gets my vote...

It really yanks my chain that my friends parents bought him an 03 wrx for his first car. He's a TERRIBLE driver. I thought I was going to die driving with him. Poor WRX =(

those wrx wagons are SLOW. i've spanked on a few of them before. i think your gt4 would be able to beat one without any problem.

i think its funny though cuz ive seen ALOT of guys who drive scoobys that just go out, dump like $10K into them...but are still learning how to drive. About a year ago i pulled up to a light when i was with my girl friend and there was this black STI that was lowered, had a body kit, TE37s on it, gauge pod, HKS exhaust and BOV, FMIC...sittin at this light beside me..reving. I personaly hate street racing and never partake in it. So i just sat there and waited for the light to change...this light was on a slight incline too. So the guys sittin there reving and lettin his BOV go off to show me its turbo *not that i wouldnt have known from the WRX badge on the back*. So the light turns green..i start accelerating at my normal pace, he trys to gun it...slipps off the clutch to quick and stalled out.

I think people have to understand that a car only makes up 1% of a good driver...the driver makes up about 99% of it though. You could have a F360 vs a 89 civic hatchback with a 1.4L 5spd on a 1/4 mile. The civic could have a guy whos been driving stick for years and the Rarri have a guy whos just been driving stick for a few months and i bet u the civic would win.

and i personaly would perfer a GT4 any day of the week.

ahaha u guyz will love this ****....ok on sunday me and my bro were at a church picnic at the park with like 30 other ppl,and these.then 2 16 year old rice rocketeers came driving up reving up there lil ****ing subara imprexes blowing exhast everywhere while we were playing football,so i walked over and said will u plz stop reving ur cars up,go to the track if u want to race and blow exhaust everywhere(thats a 6gc line),and thre like "hell no leave if u got a problem",and then my bro got up(hes 32,and a big dude)and said leave,so tehn they got in tehre car,and locked the doors and reved up there engines even more,so we all got up and like went around the car just looking in at them.my bro was going to call teh cops but his wife said they wouldnt do ****,so we all got in our cars and were leaving casue we were about to leave anyway so we thought wat teh hell let teh punks win one.well i was with my bro in his mustang,1999 cobra,a thing of beauty,and the lil basterds followed us around like 5 miles right on our ass on the freeway,so he went into teh slow lane to let them jsut like go away cause eh didnt want any trouble,but the lil asses kept screwing around,cutting him off and wat not,so he accelerated away hella far and they couldnt keep up(this isnt street racing it was just fast freeway driving)then we slowed a lil down adn here tehy come,so we accelerate but this time they kept up,tehy didnt know how to drive very well and my bro has driven his cobra since 99 so he knew his car well,anyway this is a longass story so ill jsut say we sped over a hill and the radar went off(BINGO)we braked and slowed way donw and teh scoobys went by and SHUZAM teh cop nailed one of tehm for speeding and reckless driving...that is my story,if u drive rice ur gonna get arrested..

Anyways, back on topic, I know what you mean gt4uk, I hardly see any GT4s in my area (North Yorkshire) and I kinda like it. But damn, there are tons of scoobies, and...corsas/puntos/pug 106s! Lol. I think I've seen a Supra and an RX7 once, and that was like years ago!

And for some people it doesn't matter how fast the car is or what can "smoke" what, if you have a passion for your car then you've got a passion. Me...I'll never get rid of my Celica. Even though it's a PITA! That, and with my obsession with Toyotas I'll never wind up getting a scooby and I'm ok with that.

I do need a second car though. People always tell me "Just buy a Yaris or a Corolla."

Their is nothing wrong with them, except the Yaris is butt-ugly. I love Toyota but their cars are to family for me. I like driving in a car that can give me great performance something that doesn't bore me. I love driving. If gas wasn't so high I would drive 10 hours a day. Just exploring. A WRX or Evo can give me that.

Oh, have you guys seen that Supra concept car by Toyota? The HT/FT or something like that?
