hey guys...i know that there are a few people that have turboed their 7AFE's to make 7AFTE...but i want to go a little more crazy and something that no one has ever done that i know of so far. i am wanting to make my 7AFE a 7AFTTE. wanting to twin turbo it...was wondering if anyone has any ideas and suggestions. thanks for the advice

TT = SUPER LAG
1.8l on a TT motor will have such lag issues
look at cars that come factory TT.

skyline
etc.
there motor displacment is around the 3.0L area....
exaust gas is what spools your turbo/s and u wont have enough to spool 2 of them from the 7a...
sorry to kill the dream,...but someone was going to.

you could do it with motorcycle turbos..........IHI makes some small turbos.

Craddle you are looking at it from the wrong perspective.
TT helps REDUCE lag when you wana use a larger turbo, (though the 7afe would blow up under a setup using it)
TT setup would require 2 different sized turbos
the first would be a smaller turbo say....T3 40 or 50 trim.
It will spool lower in the RPM, practically 0 lag and give you that off the line down low boost
it would be feeding an attached larger turbo...say like GT30..or a large T3/T4 for high boost levels
The smaller turbo creates the down low, lagless boost while spooling up the larger turbo which, effectively takes over by the time the little turbo has run out of breath..
a better decision would be something like a TWIN CHARGED setup, running a ~6psi pulley on a supercharger, which spools up a larger T3/T4 50 trim

that would be a nice setup... whine and blow off... mmmmmm
you know why they put sheep at the edge of a cliff.... that way they push back!(2:27:32 AM) edit: please f*cking work, f*ck, sh*t, piss(2:28:08 AM) edit: that did the trick
"soo much power the turbo needs a turbo"

While twin charge is cool, most people have proven its completely worthless when you can just use a single turbo for more output.
You could try and go the route of the rx7 FD setup. But with that is the fact that each turbo would only recieve 2 pistons which would do very little for spooling. In the end this wouldnt work well either.
I guess using bike turbos would be your best bet. They would be small enough to fit both, yet spool fast and produce a low enough power setup to not blow your 7a.
After all the headache though, it would be 1/8th the cost to just use a single or half the cost to just 3s it.

:.....Flush Wheel Fitment Guide.....:
i would to use the money and spent on engine itself thn TT
i was thinking all 4 cylinders into one turbo which systematically fed the 2nd...crazier idea
but if you wana run 2 turbos, 1 for 2 cylinders...bike sized turbo would be where its at.....be a fun project too.

or just get 1 quick spooling, ball bearing turbo, and call it a day.

alright guys thanks for the input....i just thought it would be different then everone else...i leaning towards just the single turbo

the 1/4 doesnt have patience for a ST.... so we make them ST-T's so atleast we'll sound good going slow.
LOL ^
what about a supercharger that powers a turbo. and then that turbo powers a turbo. and that turbo powers a jet turbine.

ZOMGZ itchy...you are onto something!
yeah sure sounds like it haha...what about just putting twin turbos on a 3sgte?? lol
how about a 7AFTTZE. that just sounds like a zoo. twin turbo supercharged goodness! if u could build the internals strong enough this would most likely be some kind of 10 second monster.

WTF is the idea of a 7afttze...your mottor code shouldnt be more then 5 characters on a 6gc....its the SAFEST way to go.

Finally i did found a shop in Msia that provide cam for FE head. This shop is famous in local Msia for modding thier local Proton and in NA only. I was being told its 270 degree duration but i have not managed to obtain the cam lift infor. I was told its from Australia. http://www.powerzone.com.my/products.html
so you can add this into your crazy 4aFE project
