BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #51282 15 posts Started by JoKeRkId613
I think I narrowed my tire choice down to BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2, 225/45ZR17. I'm trying to find the lowest price possible and I came across what looks like the same tire on discounttiredirect.com, but it says g-Force T/A KDW NT. Is this the same tire? Because I don't see the NT on BFG's website, so I'm thinking they might be the same but I wasn't sure why they gave it a different name. Can anyone help me out here.

EDIT: I just bought these tires! I'm so excited and can't wait to get them.

$526 for all 4 tires shipped to my house with valve stems
+$34 free tire replacement program
--------
$560

now i just have to get them mounted and balanced once i get em! woo hoo!

so it's safe to say "KDW NT" is the same as "KDW 2"?
eveb americas tires and all those tire places have their own versions...just make sure you get the newer one...lowest price ive seen is $135 each
One more question. The tires I currently have on the car are Yokohama SR32A's and when I put those on the car, the valve stems were brand new... 10,500 miles later, my tires are BALD. Should I get new valve stems with my new tires? How often do valve stems need replacing?
I heard those BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2's have a faster wear rating than others so if thats true then keep that in mind. When it's time for me to get new tires I think I'm going to get new tires that are the same size but fall under this price range....

$272

But I love the way the BFG's look though. Good luck on finding it cheaper than $135, if you do let us know

wow, those are really inexpensive tires. ive never heard of that wanli brand. the kdw2's have a 300 treadwear rating and those have a 280 rating. i dont focus much on the treadwear ratings, though, because the manufacturer can change those numbers if they wish and im sure many do for marketing purposes. im going by user reviews and other specs. tirerack.com has them for 130 each but im seeing how cheap i can get them.

I work at america's tire co./discount tire and we change the valve stems out every time we put new tires on.

also, inflate the tires to manufacterer's spec. (I think it's 33 on our cars) and then you can adjust them to suit your preferences.

I used to hag the TA's. They were off the chain

Cuz Thats How Us Country Boyz RollGrowing up racing motocross, i learned one thing..."Always wear clean underwear, you never know when the Paramedics are gonna have to cut your pants off of you"
Heated up. Following closely to my bros MRS with these tires.. small rocks were being thrown to my front bumper
I work at wal-Mart TLE and we wont even recommend those. The kdw's arew apretty tire thats cheap, dont get me wrong. but the outside tread blocks cause uneven wear under heavy cornering, the lack of sipes causes uneven wear in wet climate, and the unnatural tread design causes uneven wear over long periods of driving time. The sidewalls are strong. but they also have been known to start adn crack prematurally!
well, i dont know about cheap - $130 per tire is expensive to me. in any case, all i've read are good reviews on these tires - in fact, yours is the first negative review ive read. either way, i bought these tires because of all the positive reviews and specs. the people on here have also said good things. that's not to put down your view on this tire. i picked them up today! im so excited! biggrin.gif
