speakers not working - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #51208 7 posts Started by BURNSJ2
hey guys i have the 8 speaker system in my 6gc. last night i was wiring up my neons under my dash and noticed that just the lower 8" speakers arent working. the upper ones and the tweeters are working as well as the rears. i wired the neons into my alarm wires and never touched the speaker connections... what is goin on? is there a fuse that only controls the lower speakers? its still loud as sh*t but i cant let it go like this.
do u have a aftermarket headunit? It could be the amp not being able to power them,or just a bad connection...and no fuse for just the lowers i think...

BANNED. for life, you moron.
try testing the amplifier for the 8" speakers below the driver seat, see if it's getting any power.

use this to help you out...

If you have the 8 speaker setup, you will have the factory amp hiding down below the head unit. So you must have a wiring harness that connects to it and it uses the amp to power the 8's. You would know if you had a normal harness because removing the amp can prove to be a serious PITA.
