yea to get 19s to fit your gonna have to wrap them in the lowest profile tire you can find. Usually 19s dont fit on our cars without rubber band tires lol
what kinda rims are those?

ok so that car is on 20s but it doesnt go anywhere, if he hits a bump hes screwed and he prolly cant turn for balls. The only way ive seen people fit 19s on a celica were when they cut the fenders, not to hard to do when your fitting in a body kit and painting the whole car like that guy did.

The tire size that will be best for 19" wheels on a Celica would depend on how wide they are.
7" wide should be 215/ 35R-19
7.5 - 8" should be 225/ 35R-19

You might rub when you turn the wheel, but if the wheels aren't too wide (8.5" and up) and have a good offset (+39 or +35) you should be fine.

The problem I find with 18" wheels is that you really cant get a good size tire on it without causing problems with rubbing. I suggest 17" wheels with 215/45R-17 tires. Look at the Yelli Celi - as that is the size tire on there, and Defgeph also has that tire size. It has a very aggressive look IMO.

The tire size that will be best for 19" wheels on a Celica would depend on how wide they are.

you have to find a company that makes tire sizes:
thread width (not sure how wide those wheels are) / 45 / 19's. i know for a fact that dunlop dont make sizes for your rims unless you want sizes like 225/35/19.
it's kinda hard/tricky to find a correct tire size for your setup since the wheel is most likely narrow (8.5inch at most). if you have a wider rim; which i hope you don't, it makes it alot more easier (245/45/19 sp sport tires from dunlop). in other words 245 is too wide and there is no such thing as a 240 tire. 225/35/19 works but the ride will be rough

the 20's are 8.9% different to standard, so when he's actually doing 60 his speedos gonna be showing about 54.

18"+ wheels are heavy, which has a negative effect on performance. Some people like the big wheels though, so good for you guys. Personally I would not go bigger than 17" because it allows a larger profile tire - which makes for a better ride, and because it looks good and isn't a large burden on the car to rotate.

lol who worries about performance in a slowica. I dont need to lower my car either cause it looks like its dropped allready, 18s with low pros just do that to a car i guess. Around here 17s get labeled as cheap and ricey, and being a dude im kinda against small things... ; )
I couldnt go with 17s because telling someone "yea 18s are too heavy" just aint gonna slide, there gonna throw it back in my face and call me a cheapo. My ride quality on 18s was wayyy better than on 14s, maybe 17s have magical ride quality compared to 14s but idk ive never road on 17s.
all in all i dont care and i dont want to fight about the pros and cons of big and small. Do what you want idc : )

No, unless you have insane width or some strange offset. As long as you run 17X7 or 7.5 with +35 you'll be fine.

Right, to the people that don't know me, that is my car with the 20" Alloys on!
I'd thought i'd clear some things up regarding comments ie:

Once I managed to get the coil-overs set up to the right height, they have stoped rubbing over bumps.
When turning on full lock it does rub I must admit, but going round normall bends and corners while driving seems fine!
The inner fenders have not been removed, just slightly adjusted!
The speedo is way out, ie: when driving at 70 MPH i'm actually doing about 77
I think thats all!

Had them for the past 4 years, when I got the faff it had dunlops on it and I thought they were complete rubbish, got toyos back on and it just feels a whole lot better!
nothing between them on cash. see if you can find some reviews of them both mate.
