My Compression Test at 250K - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #50906 11 posts Started by Justin
My car just recently hit 250K on the original engine. So, I decided it would be fun to see what the compression was.

2>192
3>192
4>195
Same exact compression results I had at 200k. The thing that impresses me the most is that the motor has been through two 3-2 mis shifts(one of those well over 8k rpm) and a 75 dry shot of nitrous for a couple of bottles. I don't think it will ever die.

impressive, sounds like the rest of the car will wear out before that engine does!

Hehe, that is the beef with Toyota. You'll never kill it, unless you kiss the wall og just shoot it!

Enjoy your car. Peter

Hey!
What are the compression specs. for 5sfe engine? and what is consider normal +/- between pistons
BACK FROM THE DEAD!

So I sold the car to a friend, bought a bunch of other cars and ended up buying the car back. New compression test at 282k, 210-200-210-212 Still going strong, except the transmission has about had it at this point. A/C is still ice cold though.
my 5s-fe has been running strong at 175-185 across the board for too long, aside for the common oil pan oil leak this bastard just wont let me down.
200k on the car and the only work done was replacing broken glass!
thats awesome, nuts to what everyone says about the 7afe becoming an oil burner.

It burns a little on start up. That's it though, prob just valve stem seals.
thats impressive. mine made it to 294,356 before throwing a rod and basically committing motor suicide.

Yeah, I'm hoping it will last a bit longer, especially the bearings. I'm going to most likely put a 3rd gen 3sge in it.
