Good Sub/Amps? - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #50791 21 posts Started by cHinaman727
I have my eye on some subs and an amp, but what would you guys recommend I do if I had around 200-250 to spend ^^.

edit: Do our cars vibrate badly? I previously owned a 93 accord and I saw someone with the same model and it sounded horrible.

i would check ebay for your subs. i got my sub for only $30 new and it's an infinity. usually it's a $150 sub. as for the rattle, my car doesn't rattle too bad but then again i only have one sub in there so i couldn't really answer that Q for me.

save your money and go good quality youll be much happier in the end

200-250 isnt good quality? man that blows...

Also, how good is the stock cd player? I have the one that has a tape and CD player, but I also have a sony cdx-r3300 from my old car and if id get better sound from the aftermarket, id rather use that.

well, im not a fan of sony, but i think it would be better than stock one. 200-250 isnt really good quality for a 5/6 channel amp...thats if you want to wire your speaakers to it. for a mono amp your going to spend around 300....for a quality amp...
the sony headunit will work, its what i use and it kicks. i got 2 10" infinitys with a kicker 350X2 amp and my car doesnt rattle at all. unless i forgot to put the back panel on all the way or sumthin. 250 can get you a decent system if you go to the right place. i got my subs from my dads friend for free, and the amp was like 20 bucks b/c the guy didnt think it worked. and the headunit was a gift. so g/l tho. you have the headunit, everything else can go for 400 if you want the better quality tho

i don't think that you can use the stock cd player if you want to have subs and yes you would get better sound quality. sony isn't the best brand but will still sound good. what i would do is once you have the subs and speakers and everything, i would get yourself a nice alpine deck. best quality IMO.

so i can basically plug and play with the sony deck? I don't need to do any cutting right

just to strip the wires to connect to the sony harness. other than that its all plug and play.

if u want to get things done right then take it to an audio shop... if you dont even know whats quality and what will work then u will run into many problems and it would be a lot easier to get a reputable shop to do the work and install quality parts for u... reading is ur friend tho if u want to do things urself, good luck
well im dumb, i left the radio in my car while i was at work so it was sitting in the sun.. i hope that its ok.
