Difference in brakes: - 6G Celicas Forums

So I see online a lot there are parts for the GT4/3S-GTE and not many for the regular GT/5S-FE. In particular, brakes/pads. Does anyone know if there is any difference say if I found some slotted/drilled rotors for the GT4 but wanted to put them on my GT? Thanks.

Oh. That's too bad, I found some nice Endless brakes. Anyone ever find any aftermarket brakes (slotted/drilled) for the US GT?

I got some from Irotors. they work good but the first time the company sent them they were covered in rust. so I e-mailed them and they arranged DHL to pick them up from my house. they resurfaced them, and then it took them forever to mail them back. took over 2 months before I got them, but they are pretty good rotors. also there's these:

also, I got Hawk HPS brake pads and I really like them too! pretty dusty, but they stop good!

http://www.6gc.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=49331 You could see my rotors here.... those are Rotora Rotors slotted. I got them at www.sportcompactonly.com I know they arrent drilled like you want them but drilled rotors tend to crack unless you get the expensive big brake kits which i think are cast with the holes in them. When you drill the rotors the metal becomes weak and after it heats and cools enought times they will crack. Hope this helps smile.gif

As for brake pads. Go for Ferodo DS2500. Most commonly known upgrade for pads in Europe. Give good grip and minimal dust.
