I am about to drop my 3rd generation 3sgte into my car and I was wondering if any of you know, what will a swapped celica beat? Will it take a stock lancer evo/sti????

yeah from a roll. it hard to beat someone who can just redline their car, pop the clutch and shoot off like a rocket with no wheel spin.

AWD is sick for launches. but you will weigh less without it and if you have enough power you will catch up quick.

Get a MBC and only race from highway rolls, you'll be collecting cash in no time.

What's your racing community like? Gambling on races? Fun runs? A bunch of bench racing ricers?

I dont do street races, rarely I see a car here that wants "to take me on". Mostly Honda's and Volkwagens, both with no cars to really match the power of my car. Took on a 350Z last year a week after the swap, only thing it did was looking at my rear.

i like kill list threads one i time i cruising down the local.. air port runway legal race track for a day type deal thing . beat a supercharged cobra and an ecu modded twin turbo 300zx from 60 - 130ish mph. id never do that on the street.

with stock boost and ppl sitting in my car i was able to keep up with a new sti, evo, and m3 (not sure if the m3 was giving it all he had but he did give me the thumbs up after he slowed down from 115mph)

s2000's g35's z350's gto's and mustangs are no problem at all as are most ricer hondas out here in Los Angeles.

Ive only ran into one guy who was faster. It was a eclipes gst with a huge turbo on his car. While i didnt roll with him i saw him in the parking lot and he claimed 1/4 times of 12.6

I also ran in to a hela moded evo that im pretty sure could have taken me..... it sounded like a non stock turbo and when i asked what kind it was he had to think twice as to "which" turbo he was currently running. I took this as a sign that he must have a few turbos he throws on that thing for track use..... he also had a huge FMIC and some nice work wheels on a drop.

yyyyeap spanked a r32 turbo vw, aa modified gti , by 6 cars, and a mitsubishi evolution slightly modified by 3 cars in second gear, i will be racing a mitsubishi eclipse 95 gs-t with t3/t04 and fmic, and standalone (fuel upgrades aswell) this weekend so i will post up a vid soon (monday) oh and a "highly modified" subaru legacy turbo, .......just wait n see to ssee what happens
