Always been one of my favorite youtube vids. If you go to the actual page, there's a TON of videos of people doing the same thing all over the world. The response is amazing. Most people go through their entire lives without so much as looking at the stranger who just walked beside them. You'd be suprised at what a hug can do for some people's days. I wish more people would do things like this.

the concept is nice. but you never know what their intentions are. people are crazy these days. one minute ur hugging someone, next minute u become a hostage/ get your purse or wallet stolen/ catch some disease/ who knows what. and im not just talking about the receiver of the hug. it could happen to the one holding the "free hugs" sign. hugs should just be shared amongst people who know each other and are comfortable with hugging, and with characters at a theme park.

On my 4th of july fireworks there was a guy walking around with one of those signs and I just felt like hes copying that video. (I saw the video around 2 months ago) The Video is nice and makes us all realize how important a hug could actually be to someone, but the problem is like what forkee said, you don't know anything about the intentions of the person offering the hug... Nice concept...creepy people
