Transmission Swap - 6G Celicas Forums

I have a 94 celica gt 2.2 hatchback with a bad tranny (5th gear only for now), I have a wrecked 99 conv. celica gt 2.2 with a good transmission. Just wondering if they would match up or do I need to look for one at a junk yard? Thanks for your help.

Dont really know indepth about them but if you have two of the cars. Have a look in the engine bay for the build plate and see what transmission each of them uses? If the code is the same then they have the same transmission.
