Best bang for your buck will always be TOYOs.
I've driven cars with Toyos (m3) and my friend raced on them and drove on them...we weren't happy with them at all.

Have driven now with both Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 and Toyo Proxes T1-R tyres. The Proxes are the best. In dry and wet conditions. Only thing I dont like about it is its lifespan. About 1 year and 8500 miles frown.gif But thats with 99.99999 percent grip at any time and any situation (all driven with the 3S-GTE powerplant installed), and thats more important to me then the price.

Should make it clear that I rarely drive long distances and when I do I usually exceed the speed limit, so I'm not suprised they went this fast.

JDM Powerplant installed, BPU coming very soon!
T1-Rs... hahah

I think Lew's looking for a good Value... T1-Rs are pretty much top of the line Toyos and can run a pretty penny...
those tires Jeff got are bad ass.

Yeah, Toyo Proxies, that's excessive for the everyday driver.
okay i narrowed a list down to toyo proxies z1, dunlop maxx, and bfg kwd-2, leaning towards the kwd-2's
i've got them now too, they're incredible!

so what did you end up going with? i'm thinking of getting some kdw2's for the front and moving my g-force sports to the back.

You're smart to go with those toyos, due to the large tread block design. While under hard cornering, the tread blocks will scerm (sp) and begin letting traction go. The advantage of large blocks is they hold heat better and stick harder. Just look at why slicks are popular, it's one huge tread block.

No faults with direzza. Good in dry and wet, tread last quite a while. Might be on the noisier side.
