Just went to look at a 1998 Celica Beams today with 97000kms on the clock and I have put my deposit down on it. Just waiting for prepurchase inspection and if nothing goes wrong, it will be mine in a few days

. Finally, after owning a SS1 for 3years! Just need to vent here a little to get some of the excitement out of my system.

New beams celica comes with rear strut bar with cover, metal Celica door sills,projectors,ss3 bodykit. Only downfall is auto but I can live with that.

Got it home

weather pretty crap. Going to wash it tomorrow and then pics. Only problems that came up were , slight weeping of oil so I need to change the valve cover gasket in future sometime and also front right door slightly misaligned. Other than that its pretty good.

Yea manual tranny swap sometime in future.

Spent an hour cleaning all the mold that is growing on the ss3. Looks like I will be removing rubber trims etc tomorrow to really clean all the crap out. The past owner rarely uses this car and it has been left sitting.

Done vacuuming interior, stupid dog hair everywhere. The paint needs a bloody good dose of claying and detail too.

Valve cover gasket change. Had to remove quite a bit of stuff and the rear two bolts was abit of a pain. Thought you guys might be interested in seeing the pics.
