u need to make a fiberglass box to sit in the wheel well for this^^^^

theres a few tutorials for this kind of setup jus put a search into google using the words fiberglass wheel sub

I couldn't use MDF? I know space would be tight, but I figure with a shallow sub you might just be able to make space for a (very) small box.

then u get crapy sound frown.gif

BANNED. for life, you moron.
^^^ cali's right ^^^

you would use mdf for your top but you use fiberglass to get maximum airspace from the well plus it would sit real snug in your car making it sound better too.
cali's always right lol

I'd like to know what lagos did. Did he make a custom fiberglass enclosure?

I just like really clean subtle set-ups. I'd like the amp and all wiring to be out of sight and I just want one 10" sub. I plan on putting a 3-point rear strut bar back there, as well as relocating the batter back there. not only that, but I want it all as lightweight as possible. no 50lb boxes or anything like that. I also still want to have trunkspace... sigh, I guess I just want too many things, lol. I haven't figured it all out yet.

nah, they are not the "rim style" ones.. they are unprotected on the other side, black, and have the Audiobahn symbol..

how is the sound when they are mounted into teh box?

BANNED. for life, you moron.
they hit nice for 2 8's... but they will not win sound competitions.. but inside the car.. I can't turn them all the way up without them hurting my ears smile.gif

yeah they are very clear! now I haven't gone around and heard a lot of systems... but I had a cheap amp and a boxed jensen before which hit harder but the audiobahns with this box are nice and clean sounding. smile.gif

I have factory 8 speaker sound, with Kicker 8" subs in the doors, and 6' 3/4" speakers in the rear, stock 4" and stock tweeters (for now). I'm running the kciker's and polks from a 4 channel amp. I'm going to put a single 10 or 12 in the trunk in a custom box to top it off. Here are a few pics..

That's pretty much what I have, except for my rears are stock (starting to blow though)
8" Kicker RMB8 in front door with stock 4" and tweeters.
