What a let down. Been waiting on this for years, only to go get it and find out that it's crap.

That is all... rolleyes.gif
I thought there first one sucked too. They had promoted them as an industrial/metal band down here and so I bought their CD to try them out. It sounded like a Korn ripoff with a backstreet boy singer laugh.gif
yea... i listened to it and it's a huge letdown compared to the previous 2 cds that was awesome..

I'd hold off on buying until you've heard it. The only decent song is the one that's been on the radio prior to the release. It's a completely different style of music than everything else they've put out before. I'm a big fan, so it's hard for me to say it, but I'm really not a fan of this cd.
Yes, they went soft. I was a fan of their other work, but this cd is just not linkin park.
I had a feeling it was gonna be bad... kindasad.gif

After hearing "What I've Done", which I do like that song - it just kinda had to grow on me before liking it lol - I had a feeling the CD wasnt gonna be very good. Yeah, its totally something that doesnt seem Linkin Park at all. frown.gif

which sucks... cuz I really like the band.

i guess Linkin Park tried to do a different approach in sense of music and ended up bad.

Heres what happened. LP said they were doing something, and they did. At first I was shocked, and was disappointed. But I listen to the album all the time. If it werent LP, I'd love it. Its a little too soft for LP, but its a good album IMO after listening to it for awhile.

they need to bring back the guys who did the reanimation remixes. that was probably the first time where a bands remix album blew away the original.

15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned
i agree, only about 2 good songs...
not a good driving cd, it sounded a lot better on my computer than it did in the car tongue.gif

I'm likin Flyleaf, Lacuna Coil, n such tongue.gif
Yea it looks like they are trying to hard to get away from what their old cd sounds like. And they are trying to seperate themselves from what fort minor also. So they ended up with something too artistic.

I realy like them back then because they had electric guitar with rap lyrics, its like smashing together all kinds of music into one cd.

The only song that seams like there old CD was "given up".

what ever. In my mind the next linkin park cd was fort minor.
I for one enjoyed the new CD from beginning to end.

i haven't heard the enitre album yet. all i know is, i probably would have liked what i've done more, had i not seen the video. Chester looks like bono from U2, ffs. Yeah, they went a little softer on this album, but i don't know, i have mixed feelings. like supersprynt said, if it weren't LP, i'm sure i'd like it more.
I am just now listening to it. I would have to agree on some of it sounding like Fort Minor like the song Hands Held High (my opinion). Still something I could listen to.

I love the new cd. Love the new sound and was happy to hear that any song that sounded like them previously they threw away. They wrote 150 songs for this album and I think they did a great job. I read that they werent happy who they were being grouped with and wanted to get away from that.

I think this cd is definitely different from their 1st but spectacular in its own way. The remixed albums were awful in my opinion.

Cruisin down the street in my Infiniti...always lookin for my next trip to Sin City
One thing I have noticed in this CD, is that they really do like the sound of Clapping.

I agree. I bought Hybrid Theory and loved it, but the next two CDs weren't all that great. This CD is pretty good. Not as good as Hybrid Theory but very close.
I've liked all their cds. Granted this new one isnt where they started, but if anybody has heard My December; an unreleased song from years ago, you'll see they've been doing this type of thing awhile. I have all their underground stuff and you wouldn't recognize them if you heard it.

All in all, more i listen to it, more i like it.

i like to compare it to the latest deftones album (snw)...it's okay, it's just not what i expected - in a bad way. i like being surprised and all (like the latest kings of leon album...they departed hugely from their previous releases, but made alot of progress...there are a ton of things i still don't like about the album, but it's grown on me.)

bands like lp that came on the scene with a certain mentality and theme can't really change gears, imo.

do you know who i am, mr. worley?
the more i'm listening to it, the more it's growing on me as well. . . :-\

havn't bought the CD yet, but i've heard it while driving around in my friend's truck. i'll admit the songs are pretty good, however, it's just not what i'm used to when i think of LP songs. so for that reason, i just think its an OK cd in all.

I got the CD.. 13 bucks but I have Hybrid Theory, Meteora, Live in Texas also the remix with Jay-Z. So I cannot pass on this one, yeah it is kinda soft but I am loving the song Leave Out All The Rest and Bleed it out. Those two are the only one's I like. I might still need to get used to listening the other tracks as well and realize it is Linkin Park. One of the songs there mike shinoda even sounded like Duncan Sheik to me.. and some a bit of Green Day.. Weird...
