I am thinking of doing an engine swap in my 97 convertible , its auto ...so i am thinking of switching it to manual ....just wondering how much i would expect to pay in labor all together in Southern California , USA ....i can get the engine with tranny , intercooler and harness for arround 2Ks...also , how much shuld i be expecting to pay for gas ? maintaince ? etc....

I think the entire swap including parts and labor is around $5000-$6000. Gas would depend on how much or how hard you drive it.
