anyone here have the D2 system, the site given 2 post up has it 900...free shipping, thats really cheap...what do yall think? is it something i should do, or pay a few hundred extra for teins?
D2 coilovers and K-sport coilovers are made by the same company in Taiwan. I figure if someone has a review for k-sports, it'd be the same for D2.
uh...care to expand? smile.gif
Yeah, they adjust up and down.

well i look at reviews for other cars....and the main problem is the infamous clunking for a coilover system...
and in the RSX community something was said about bad swaying on one installation...thats why i wish someone would give more detail on their install with the celicas.
I was just playing with ya. They ride real nice, they adjust camber in the rears and the front. The plates dont make any noises. I do hear the springs squeak every now and then but nothing annoying. Like i said in my other post, theyre the best ride for $900 bucks shippped. I dont have any pictures because i installed them at a friends house. But the install is really easy, the sway end links hook up to them really werid. Maybe when im doing my brakes in a couple of months ill take pictures of it. I think their 36 adustable, i have mine on halfway, so the ride is fairly smooth, but enough stiffness. I rode on them stiff all th way for a while, nothing uncomfortable for me, but might be for most my passengers. Plus theres some crappy roads in Dallas Texas. Get them, and avoid having to put take/put springs on shocks just for a single ride comfort. Any other questions?
good explanation smile.gif wish i could drop 900 on new suspension right now, sounds like its a real good deal for the price though
ha thats the way to do a review! thanks man.
No problem. I highly recommend them. I havent had any problems in the last month ive had them. Ive drove over bad rail road tracks too fast, dips too fast, and some shallow pot holes, theyre still stiff. Put em on stiff and their good for the track. Once on the car, makes you want to just upgrade every susupension piece on the car.
As far as the drop, how much does it actually drop the car?

I'm very interested in getting these soon, and would like an idea of how much it lowers and the stance it gives the car.

Itll tuck tire if you want, but the tire started to rub against the tower in the rear. I duno if spacers would of helped.

I pick up my set this weekend. Installation planned for next weekend. I'll take pics and post them up. Can't guarantee the timing though - my work owns my schedule recently.

Awesome, can't wait to see them.

Coilovers are on but the workshop had difficulty in changing studs so the car is still on 16" with winter tyres. Once 17" with 215/45 are on I will post up the pics.

But if you want to have an idea, check out pics in THIS THREAD. These were taken with my previous set-up (stock shocks plus lowering springs) and D2s on the highest set-up is just a bit higher.

I was thinking of lowering the rear a little more. These are shots of coilover through the wheel and under the car. And of course the plates up top in the rear and front. The car used to be white. But i got it painted black. Putting Texas on the map.
