semi nubish question - 6G Celicas Forums

I am planning on gettin a used engine to work on in the garage on the side to replace my current 170k miles one so i can go 5sfte, but i got one obstacle in my way(for now atleast) , getting it there.
the alley way to my garage is not the problem, its the 45 degree slope that u gotta go up to get in there, id think it would be hard to get the engine hoist up that slope, and i dont know of any that can go through grass.
But if you go through the grass there is not slope cause of the wierd way my house way build (nub builders)

Long story short, How heavy is a 5s without most of the accesories and the tranny? I figure if i get enough people we can carry it.
Thanks in advance

I wouldn't carry it simply because its an awkward shape and with more than a couple people it might get messy and dangerous.

You could hoist it into a truck maybe?
Create some sort of wood tracking for the hoist to travel on?
A dolly with better wheels? This could even be made.

Home Depot used to sell a rectangle.... frame with 4 coasters on it.... best thing in the world and its $20 or so... cheaper than buying the coasters individually

-Mikemjcoury@gmail.comTeam Reynolds StyleCelica BlogCelica WikiIt will take him a moment to realize that he's about to make a 180 degree turn at speed, but you will be ready for it. Brace for the g's, and fast heel-toe work.
right when its delivered, take it apart, pull the head off and then you can def carry the block in with a minimum of 2 people.

just wear gloves, it could get messy and maybe a little sharp, but do-able.

The question is not how far. The question is, do you possess the constitution, the depth of faith, to go as far as is needed?
What if i used one of thos square on the frame thing and tie it down and push it up the slope?
