thats not even the right thread link....

but all the equations came directly outta Corkey Bells turbo book, which is identical to what is posted in the 5sfe information thread by P2

not to mention that that equation is probably the MOST generalized equation for turbo graphs out there....and there are much more complex ones that account for more variables

but in any event i really don't care....maybe you should email corkey bell?

Really? That's interesting, because I have maximum boost sitting right next to me and I just checked the formula on page 27, under airflow rate, and I quote:

"Airflow rate = cid x rpm x 0.5 x E / 1728 = cfm"

I have also calculated, that if we would want to use liters instead of cid, we could use this forumula:

liters x (max RPM) x .5 (4 stroke engine) x (approx. VE) x 0.0353 = CFM

So, if the one posted by pressure is also incorrect, we better fix that up.

You know, I just read that link that pressure2 has in his thread, and that's where his numbers came from. I tried that formula and it doesn't work at all, it makes no sense either... I've seen that guy write some pretty off stuff before, now that I think of it.

Well its an OLD book as well...technology has advanced by large.....
but spending time on information thats maybe used 1 time a year....blah

i edited out the old stuff, if this ever gets figured out into what will be used blah blah blah....i might go back and update it
