3sge swap - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #4744 9 posts Started by Uppitycracker
Ive been reading about the 3sge swap but havent found much info at all about it. All I know is what is said in the feasable engine swap section. So it bolts right up, does it require all the work that the 3sgte swap requires? will it need the harness? ecu? rewiring the car? or will it drop in and plug up? Thanks alot, Ill be looking for a 3sge red top if that makes a difference, well im sure it will for the ecu anyways.

I have searched the web and this site and found next to nothing about the self.

yup it will drop in and plug right up? So it would be a more realistic alternative to the 3sgte? haha sorry just wanna clarify, I dont know if it matteres since the engine isn't on any importers lists. Thanks man
Yup it'll drop in. Yup it'll require all the work the 3sgte does. Yup it'll need a harness. Yup it'll need the ECU. Yup u'll have to wire it into the car.

the red top is the beams one. expect to pay a lot, like 4 grand, just for the engine.

*eye squinting with rage* thanks for the help man >biggrin.gif> Ya well I figured most that out already, especially the price part, so what Im doing now is looking at places in my province that import the engines and do the swaps, which would be a large weight off my back, even if it does cost alot more. Money isnt the problem, my lack of garage and storage and also this car being my way to work every day is the problem. Thanks again!
