Well lets just say im gutted

Was on my way home from work when i had an accident.

was going up a hill when the guy in front suddenly stopped due to a speed cop car edging his way out on to the road, when he slammed on the brakes poor desmond went right up the passats arse , well it kind of went underneath it due to the car being so low and the pasast being high. didnt help i was a little blinded by the sun at the time..

Now i know you will think "well you should have left enough room to brake" well thats one thing i do do , if it one thing i hate is when people are right up yer arse..

The police ocifer denied he was at fault, he says there was plenty of room which there wasnt, the guy i hit blames him not me, but, as in the yes of the law im at fault, so thats my 13 years of clean driving tarnished lol , thank feck for protected no claims (i know not worth much but every little helps).

anyway enough of the babbling, im still in shock so a bit so my heads still a wee bit up my arse lol







he goes to the garage tomorrow so will be up early tomorrow putting as much standard stuff back on it in case it gets written off, pity i don't have a set of standard wheels to swap

fingers crossed it repairable, the wings are intact and it drove 6 miles home ok so no blow radiator..

ouch.. i know how u feel man... been in such situation.. but it's repairable. radiator punctured? well look on the bright side, now ya can get the Varis CF hood and projectors.

Car was taken away to the garage on thursday so just waiting on word to see if its gonna get repaired or written off.

im actually hoping it gets written off and that i can buy it back for much cheapness, if thats the way it works out i will be able to make it an even better car with the pay out i'll get , only down side is that i very much doubt i will find a GT4 front end again ..

as far as damage goes its mostly the bumper and bonnet and the support bars behind the bumper, believe it or not i wasn't that fast an impact, i was just unfortunate to hit a car thats bumper that was at the height it was , the 2 wings are intact as well , i have the original bumper and bonnet so that's a huge saving if i get to buy it back

fingers crossed this all works out to be a blessing in disguise

Sorry about the crash.....I think they will write it off looking at it, depends how sympathetic the garage is with its costing.

If you do need a GT4 front end, I can direct you to someone who will supply you with one no problems near Manchester. He breaks GT4s all the time and has an Aladins cave of GT4 spares.

He`s in the UK, which might be a problem for you as the postage costs will probably make it not a worth while task...the parts from the Toyota dealers are not that expensive so would probably be your best bet, the only Expensive bit being the bonnet...I`ll have a chat with him today and see what he says about posting to the USA but I dont hold out much hope I`m afraid, but you never know.

well Desmond was written off today

lets hope i dont have a fight in my hands to get a decent pay out from the insurance..

if i get £1500 plus the car back i'll be happy
