The windshield wipers (both) decided to stop working this morning after awhile while I was driving. The windshield in the back still works though. It just stopped right in a upward position on the windshield. Is this a common problems for all 94 celicas, 1.8l? I checked every single fuse and they all seem to be in working condition. All that is left are the windshield wiper motor, or maybe there is a short in one of the wires or maybe the switch. I do not know what is causing the problem. I am guessing that the windshield wiper is located by the firewall on the passenger side inside the engine bay so correct me if I am wrong.

As of now, I am just driving around with the windshield wipers stuck in an upward position and they will not go down. Any ideas for this solution would be helpful.

you cant move them by hand? something could have seized up in the mechanisms. turn the switch on, can you hear the motor under the hood?

Nope, tried turning it on and I heard nothing.
