Does anybody have any advice on how to get a mesh grill in our cars? I tried slidding it in through the front and it got all bent up and I sliced my hands up...not smart I know. I see all these mesh grills in cars that look so perfect. If anybody have any advice please post. Maybe I just bought a crappy grill. Thanks a ton!!
HELP please on mesh grill...... - 6G Celicas Forums
I had mine installed at a shop, while I was getting some other work done, the guy slid it through the top. As in, he opened the hood and theres a gap btwn the from fender and the engine , he slid it down and bent the top to hold it in place.
2 important points though,
If you are also putting mesh behind the fog light wells, those are separate pieces (thats how mine was done)
You should find some way to secure the mesh, other than just fitting/bending the top, bc mine shifted after a while and I had to fix it myself
Hope this helps

i just redid my grill yesterday. all i did was cut it to size with tinsnips and then used 3 zipties to keep it in place. it works great i did the same thing before and never had a problem with it
They also have clips, that go onto the body. Hard to explain but thats how my friend did his.
i am awesome

Here's the way that I did mine back when I used to have a grill...
Under your car, there is a panel. Remove that plastic panel (6 screws I believe). Slide the grill up.
Now there are various ways of securing it. When I had mine, I drilled a couple holes on the top portion of the front bumper opening and used zipties like nicksceli did.
Now reattach the panel and you're good to go. I cut my hands to back when I did this, and found this method to be the easiest without having to bend or force the grill in.

i did mine the same way kuya did it was simple except i didn't drill any holes there where plastic clips in the middle i just took 2 out and used zip ties and on the fog light holes i just used the screw hole and zip ties

Sorry... let me explain why I drilled holes. I forgot about what I did... =P
The reason why I drilled holes was because I dremel'd off the bars in the air dam. If I hadn't done this, I would have just zip tied the grill to the bars.
Thanks for the reminder afroman...
