I'm new to the site. I had just bought a 94 Toyota Celica with the 3stge 255hp Jap. swap. I was wanting to know what oil should I use. Right now I have Royal Purple 5w30, but I was told that these motors run good on 20w50. So I was wanting to ask if Royal Purple 20w50 syn. would hurt it or not..

Royal Purple 20w50 synthetic would probably be fine, but 3s motors don't run any better with a thicker oil. It moreless comes down to preference. Any other motor oil brand is moreless as good as the next as long as you change oil regularly.
