So I'm trying to get the throttle body off and I break the nipple off the EGR Vacuum Modulator. Here I am trying to fix the idle issue and I smoke the EGR part. Let me guess, $100? and I bet I wont even fix the idle problem. Besides that I can't get the 2 of the 3 hoses of the bottom of the throttle and I'm not about to find out how much a replacement hose is. Sorry, had to vent.

vacuum hoses arent so expensive, either are hoses from the dealer. If you need a new throttel body or egr vacuum modulator, contact lucky star used auto on ingram drive in north york and if you need the part from the dealer, head over to Missisuaga toyota at 427 and dundas and talk to Danny in parts. Tell him your a friend of Bryan with the red 94 celica gts and he will probably give u a deal.
Thanks for the hook up. I have a few buddies that work for various Toyotas in York Region. Usually 20% off. Let me know if you ever need anything. I'm wondering how much this part will cost. I've seen them for about $70 US. Called Part Source out of desperation and they quoted $120. So hopefully Toyota will be cheaper. My wife still doesn't know I broke it, and knowing I won't get this til Monday, she is going to snap. Reason? I just got her back on the road after doing the timing belt and pump and she was so happy. Uh oh, she's staring at me and asked me what I'm doing!!! Do I cave or hope that this part is in stock, help me!!!! lol
Part should be stock.
I believe it's the same modulator as the Camry.
Dealers stock EGR stuff, it likes to go bad.

Nope. Called 4 dealers today, none in stock. I'm waiting for 9am to come around then I'll call around for a used one. By the way, my wife figured out everything when she wanted to go out last night and saw the car in pieces,LOL. "Can I use the car tonight?", "Umm, maybe tomorrow, sweetie?" More likely Tuesday.
Found one at a local Japanese used parts place that the Toyota guy told me about. Cost? $25. Brand new from Toyota...$120. Off I go to do the install.
told you lucky star was good..lol. Mike always comes through for me.
Actually Lucky Star didn't have it, they wanted to sell me the whole engine, lol. I got it from Mitoi in Brampton.
So now that I have the engine running, my emergency brake seized up inside the rotor. This car is gone after I'm done. I've done brakes 3 times on the rears with the same results of the E-brake seizing. I've worked on it, Toyota had a stab at it and my mechanic friend helped me do entire overhaul just last November. Too bad because the car runs great, but not like my 92 Alltrac.
I have a good spare off my other engine.$15. PM me if interested. Include your P/N.

Thanks, but I got one and the car will hopefully be sold by next week. I just spent another $250 on brake parts and I'm done. $550 on water pump, pulleys, belts. $800 in bills with labour done by my buddy and I. The car is going for $5000 firm.
