pointless venting thread - 6G Celicas Forums

was on my way to see a movie tonight and i decide to turn left... but my car doesnt so i understeer straight into a curb with my passenger side front wheel. couldnt have been going faster than 10mph, it was just ridiculously slick. im a perfectionist so when i get out and see curb rash it pissed me off. nothing major though. at least i didnt bend a control arm or anything. guess it was bound to happen sooner or later.

I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside.
same thing happened to me last night after work, except i hit a snowbank and was probably going less than 10mph in the parking lot. scared the ***t outta me thinking that i might have damaged or at least scratched my gt4 bumper & fenders... but no worries, there were no damages.

I did the snow bank one last year. thought it would be a decent idea to pull the ebrake in the middle of a snow covered road doing about 15-20. yea, i highly recommend you never do this. I'll admit it im an idiot. laugh.gif ive learned a lot since then. anywho it was funny because about 20 huge trucks and plows etc. passed me and NONE stopped to ask if i needed help. but some 22 year old guy in a beater cutlass jumped out and was like "yo nice car, you need a hand?" its surprising who comes to your aid sometimes. I ended up having my buddy with his chevy come pull me out haha

glad you didn't damage your suspension, that would have realllllllly sucked

ya im an idiot too. i pulled the ebrake once driving with my brother on an open snowy road for kicks. scary as hell. completely lost control and did a 360 and almost went into a ditch. but it was fun biggrin.gif

This is why RWD/AWD>FWD

I'm glad you only damaged the edge of the wheel though. Could have been worse.

It's as close as you could possibly get with out converting to AWD.. altho if I put the studs in the tires that would make it even better. Where others were getting stuck in deep snow I was just mosing right along.. I could whip the E brake up.. go side ways and pull straight out of it.. last 2 days have been soooo much fun.. I went out and found the ****tiest roads possible.. even going down unplowed roads with 6+ inches no problems.

I was doing figure 8's in a lot too.. I would come around light pole.. whip E brake go sideways pull right out of it...

PS. Isuzu Rodeos and Celicas do not go together all that well.

RWD are the worlds worst at spinning on ice and Hydroplanning.
