4th gen 3sgte part numbers please - 6G Celicas Forums

Topic #45226 8 posts Started by urbandork
Ive noticed that the 4th gen 3sgte's have a alt cooling duct that instead of bending down bends the the right/away from the turbo. I think it might look cool on mine which currently is jsut left with out a duct because i have a DP on it which does not allow for the stock 3rd gen duct to face downward.

thanks a bunch

What??????

I beleive he is talking about a different alternator cooling duct to replace the stock 2nd and 3rd gen one. Like he said he can't have his on there with his aftermarket DP so he is looking into the coolant duct from the 4th gen.

Do you have a pic? ive never seen it before, kinda curious
you dont need that duct, btw. i haven't had mine on for a few years and it never caused me any issues.

lol i know i dont need it but i thnk it looks cool.

kinda like how i dont need to have a correct red line on the gauges or that boost display on my cluster but im working towards a hybrid cluster, half st205 and half st204 so i can have the cool 7k red line tac and turbo pressure gauge but still retain usdm mph speedo
ive got a pic of my engine in my profile if you want to see the cooling duct... i think there is even a pic of my engine bay somewhere around here... i dont know where... wink.gif

btw...i would love a list of part numbers as well...ive searched everywhere for info on the 4th gen and what parts are the same b/w it and the 3rd gen, not coming up with what im looking for
