where exactly do the bump stops go on the strut????????

If you look at this pic, you can see the bump stop shown in orange.

just right down the stem of the shock. If you plan on dropping your car, you might wanna cut off a section of it because your suspension still needs play room, if you don't the suspension might turn out tight because everything will be compressed.

note: this really helps if your car is dropped from bottoming out.

If you look at the pic I posted that's actually the OEM bump stop (after I cut it), if you look at your bump stop it should be in what I would call "3 layers", just cut off 1 of the layers. It's about a 1/2" layer.
You don't want to cut more than that or there may not be enough absorbment when it rebounds.
