WTB: larger pictures..

if the frame is bent...dont even bother. u wont beable to take off all the chasis and interior and what not...(you could but it would SO time consuming that its IMO totally pointless)

by A frame, is that the lower control arm (in an A shape)? if so, it's isn't that hard to replace.. well, ok, it'll take about a couple of hours of labor.

:woot: i bent mine too!

you can get the balljoint and arm together assembled on ebay for cheap or you can grab the parts at an autoparts store. heres a tip tho, the autozone balljoint needs some assembly and the nuts they use stripped on me at 1/2 the torque spec! i reused the old nuts without problem.

how much did the ball joint cast you?

Should i replace both lower arms since im putting a new one in the passenger side or will the ride be fine if i just replace the bent one?

(Oo oO)my angels
no need to replace the other one unless it was also damaged.

the ball joint is ~40$
the other side will be fine without replacing it, ive been driving around like that for a few years.

dan says: control arm is easy to replace.

hanes manual says you have to remove most of the suspension to replace the control arm.

anybody?

afterwards get an alignment, correct?
19mm or 3/4 deep socket with a ton of air and pb blaster...take the nut off slide the pin down near the fuel tank, do for both sides, get new arm same size as old one, mark with white out, put new arm on, slide pin down and nut it. takes 20 minutes if you have an air compressor.

i have a brand new passenger side control arm #2 for $110 shipped

near fuel tank? well i just need to replace my front-driver side control arm.

btw no thanks on the arm. i already have my part.

yea it said i need to take the axle nut off...etc. etc. i'm thinking i should just take it to the shop and have an alignment done at the same time.
yea word i got a spare passenger side if u needz (to original poster)

50$
