Basiclly i took off the arm rest console and the console where the shiftboot is at but for some reason i cannot find a way to take off the top console the console with the A/C like i cnat find a way because the A/C console is in the way. sad to say i was workin on it for almost an hour just trying 2 figure out how 2 take off that console has anyone been in this situation and found a solution to take it off so i can install my short shifter? the TWM installation manual didnt show how they took off that console and plus the year celica looked difrent so it might of been easier. i have a 97 celica st if yah can help me out thx.

are you talking about the part with the vents? If so that just pops right off, at least mine did?

you shouldnt have to take off the console with the AC when installing hte shortshifter. only thing to take off is the center console with the arm rest.
